Alpha Media, LLC participated in an Internship program through the Kern County chapter of the Community Action Partnership (CAPK).  The CAPK program provides on the job training to recent graduates in an effort to prepare said graduates for the working world.  The graduate working with our SEU from July 20, 2015 through August 20, 2015 expressed an interest in Media and was trained on all aspects of programming and behind-the-scenes of the radio stations.  In addition, he was trained in on-air duties, production and traffic by the on-air staff of KLLY, as well as our Production Manager and Traffic Director.

2

Participation in Job/Career Fair

Alpha Media, LLC is an active member of the Kern County Broadcasters Association (KCBA).  Together Alpha Media and KCBA co-sponsored a career fair at Bakersfield College on April 26, 2015.  Students with an interest in a broadcasting career were solicited.  Internship opportunities were also discussed with students interested in communications.  Station participants included our Business Manager and Promotions Director targeting students with a passion in broadcasting.

3

Alpha Media, LLC is an active participant in the Kern County Broadcasters Association Scholarship Program (KCBA).  Currently KCBA has given out an estimated 20 scholarships totaling $10,000.  Recipients have careers in broadcasting and/or are children of broadcasters.  During this reporting period, our General Manager participated in the selection process for scholarship awards.

4
