Monday's Mutt with Kern County Animal Services

Scamp – 983632

Hello Kern County!

My name is Scamp and I am a wide-eyed beauty!  I came to the shelter on October 20th when I was rescued from the streets of Bakersfield by a Good Samaritan.  My friends at the shelter think that I am a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, about 6 months old.

I have managed to charm the staff and volunteers at the shelter with my kind eyes and fun nature.  I love everyone I meet.  I also love going for walks, playing fetch and lounging in the sun soaking up some rays.  I would make a great fit for a family with older school age children as I am a little shy at first, but warm up once I get to know you.  I would also LOVE a home with some doggie friends my size to play with as I enjoy lots of playtime!

If you think I could be the perfect fit for your family, you can meet me at the Kern County Animal Services’ Bakersfield Shelter located at 3951 Fruitvale Avenue.  My adoption fee is just $20 during the shelter’s 4th Annual Home 4 the Holidays adoption event.  My adoption fee includes my neuter surgery cost, first set of vaccinations, a microchip and more!  Don’t forget to mention my ID number when you visit – 983632!

Special thanks to our volunteer Erin for my great photo!
